Together with our school Administration and the PTA, the Ardsley Cares Committee and the Middle School School Student Council has come up with some service ideas and projects to help our community participate in GYSD.
We are happy to announce that the following opportunities will be available to Ardsley Middle School families:
1. Bake healthy dog treats to donate to the Elmsford Animal Shelter: This activity will take place in Ms. Vlad’s room on Friday, April 23rd after school until approximately 5:00 pm.
2. Sew catnip toys to donate to the Elmsford Animal Shelter: This activity will take place in Ms. Vlad’s room on Friday, April 23rd after school until approximately 5:00 pm.
3. Collect for the Elmsford Animal Shelter: Beginning on April 19 and ending on April 23, we will be collecting blankets, towels, sheets, comforters, soft fabrics, cushions, and pillows. A collection box will be located by Ms Watkins office.
4. Pond Clean-Up: Student volunteers will help clean the pond area (and ready it for planting and mulch) between AMS and the Ardsley Swim and Tennis Club. This event will take place on Saturday, April 24th for approximately 4 hours. Raindate: Sunday, April 25th.
Registration is required for the events as space is limited. Please contact Jackie Gross at jackie0144@hotmail.com to register.
We are also looking for a couple more parent volunteers if you are interested in supporting one of the above activities.
